Structure of the Program (BA/BSc Komb) #

During the first four semesters, the course of study primarily focuses on purely subject-specific foundational training in Physical Geography and Human Geography. You have the option of applying for Geography as your core subject – in this case, you earn a total of 113 credit points in the compulsory and elective areas. Alternatively, you can choose Geography as your second subject, with a scope of 67 credit points.

The foundation of the program consists, on the one hand, of subject modules. These cover Physical Geography, Human Geography, Thematic-Regional Geography, Human–Environment Systems and Geoinformation Processing, as well as a main field trip. After completing the subject fundamentals, you take the Geography Didactics module and the final module. In Berlin, the Bachelor’s thesis is written in the academic discipline of the core subject.

In addition to the credit points in the compulsory area, you can set individual focal points in the subject-specific and interdisciplinary elective areas. In the Combined Bachelor’s program, you will also build up first foundations in educational science and language education.
